My footsteps
Tell the tale
Of where I have been
But not
Where I am going
As I stand still
With the sea at my feet
A bookmark is formed
Resting in place
From a journey
Gone by
Time to take a moment
To breathe in
The salty air
And curl my toes
In the wet sand
A time to rejuvenate
More steps ahead
Uncertain where each
Will take me
